Wind Surfing
The background for "Wind Surfing" was painted some time ago but it never really felt finished. I'm sure it was waiting for the Eagle that flew over today.
What magnificent raptures. We have so many of them on our island.

Open Studio Tour?
No, I won't be on Whidbey's Open Studio Tour, so here's a picture of where I work. Getting ready for rotation at Artworks Gallery and have pieces selected ready to pack.
Actually I'll be out of town and unable to even attend this year's tour. Sorry to miss it, always a great chance to get inspired.

Blueberries & Cranberries
This year we added several Blueberry bushes to our landscape. In my mind’s eye I can already see them in their fall colors turning the vibrant reds I remembered from our years in New England.
Also playing with new iridescent paint. Could it be frost on the berries?

And "Cranberries" coming right behind?
Thinking about the holidays already.
Must be the weather change.

Red Begonia
The early spring colorful and ornate leaves of a Red Begonia serve as an indication of the beautiful crimson blossoms soon to follow. One small bud is seen as a harbinger.
