Echeveria

I've been working on this cactus that grew into a bush  and friends tell me it's in the Echeveria family.

It's been amazing to watch, but now if something were to happen to it I will have a painted memory.

We had beautiful Lady Slippers that grew around our pond in New Hampshire.  Always fun to photograph.  They were the rose colored variety.
These are the out of my mind variety.

Gayle's Hibiscus

My friend Gayle's hibiscus overwintered at my house.  During it's stay it gave me this lovely bloom.

Lilies of the Field in their Frame.

Gives it a country French feel.

But now I think I've found it a permanent place at home.

The Caged Bird Sings

I found a small wood cut of a caged bird 

and knew I wanted to incorporate it into a piece.  

So here is, "The Caged Bird Sings"

So intrigued with Wallpaper (patterened) backgrounds.
Thinking I will show these when I am featured artist at Artworks Gallery in August.
May put one in the Freeland Library during July.
