“Reverence” curator Cary Jurriaans says this about the art show:
“In our society, where movement is constant, the visual arts are revered as it gives us time for some pure and serene stillness that cannot be found elsewhere. In my opinion, the goal of the artist is to create beauty.”

Sunrise at Clonmacnoise

Mystical Ireland Series to be shown are:
Thinning Veils
Sunrise at Clonmacnoise
Carraig Phadraig

Clonmacnoise  was founded in Co. Offaly on the Shannon River by St. Ciaran in the 540’s A.D..
One of the monasteries most famous products of its scriptorium was the book of Dun Cow (Lebor na hUidre), the earliest known example of literature written in the Irish language.

The year we visited there had been a lot of rain causing the Shannon to flood.

Carraig Phadraig
Acrylic on Canvas 11 x 14

Carraig Phadraig or Rock of Cashel is reputed to be the site of the conversion of the King of Munster by St. Patrick in the 5th century.  One of Ireland’s early kings, Brian Boru, reigned from Cashel, where he was a noted patron of the arts.
It is an amazing site.  As we drove North on a very flat road all of a sudden a huge hill appears in front of us with it's incredible buildings.

It's been a while but so glad to finish, "Ferry Lights"  an acrylic painting on 16 x 20 canvas.
