For those who wonder, this is our dog, Lady, or Ladybug as I call her because of her black spots.  She is a wonderful greyhound whom we've had since she was 3 mo. old.  I think adopting greyhounds is a great thing to do, we've done it for years and some wonderful friends have come into our lives.

Inspired by the Seattle Symphony who performed Bartok's, "Six Dances in Bulgarian Rhythm", on the opening night program 2013.  Five of the melodies appear in the painting.
I'm sure this performance was digitally recorded but, I needed a "reel" to fit the theme.

A rare Blue Moon is dominating our sky this month.
The last Blue Moon we'll see until 2015.  The pharase "blue moon" commonly refers to a 2nd full moon in a month.

Moon Flowers

Inspired by  Begonia boliviensis.  I have had a red, "bonfire"  for several years and this year I found a white. Not quite the same shape so this is a hybrid created in my mind.

I love the eagles living on Whidbey. This was inspired by the eagle who buzzed my car coming home from the gallery one evening.  Flew down out of a tall tree, glided along beside me and looked in the driver side window.
It was wonderful.
